Hello , You can share the fax printer. You do it by adding new printers to your machines and pointing them to your fax modem. The wizard should do all the work. hope this helps

Re: How to Share Fax Modem in Windows Xp?

Using FaxFax provides you with complete fax facilities from your computer. You can configure fax settings, send and receive faxes, track and monitor fax activity, and access archived faxes. Using Fax, you can choose to send and receive faxes with a local fax device attached to your computer, or with a remote fax device connected to fax resources located on a network.

Fax is not installed by default during Windows Setup.
    • To install the Fax component
    • Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
    • Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
    • In the Windows Components Wizard, select the Fax Services check box, and then follow the instructions on your screen.

Re: How to Share Fax Modem in Windows Xp?

Hello, The fax device in Win XP cannot be shared. It's also limited to 1 fax device which limits volume even if you're using a 3rd party application. This is a limitation of the version TAPI in non server versions of Windows [Server Standard 4 devices, Enterprise unlimited devices]. If need or plan on sending any volume of faxes through MS Fax you should invest in a decent fax modem. Because MS's Fax Service Provider lacks compatibility with Error Correction Mode even if the hardware supports it.

Hello, Fax service in Windows XP does not allow fax sharing. The Fax service is a client and it can't be used as a fax server. Therefore, you should use a third party fax application. One example: Zetafax.
