Can a DVD+RW disc be formatted to become a CD disc? If so, how? Thanks.

Not sure whether you mean a computer or what, but if you place a dvd-rw disc in a dvd recorder, then it will ask you for either a quick format which you will need to finalize to be able to play it in other recorders/players, or a full slow format, which will let you play it in recorders and also record on it again as well.

question Re: Can a DVD+RW disc be formatted to become a CD disc? How?

    Hi Fabian,
Thanks so much for replying to my post; I mean't on a computer--(I am running into the case where some of my programs offer to backup data, but those older programs only offer the option of backing up to CD; when I put a DVD disc in the pc's dvd-cd drive, the program won't see the DVD disc--it is looking for a CD disc, apparently). I have lots of DVD+RW discs here, but have no CD discs per se, since I rarely use them anymore. So I wondered if I could simply format the DVD+RW to become a CD so that it will be recognized as such by the program?
