    Dvd+r with 4x blocked

    Hello all,
For some time, it is impossible to burn at a speed superior with 4x on dvd+r or dvd-r that it is with Nero or another software of burning.
I do not have any emulator (daemon tools or other).

    My burner is Asus drw-2014l1t.
Is there a solution for it?
    Thank you to all

Have you installed the latest firmware?

If the DVD is rated at 4x and the burner is an 8x burner then no problem, it'll just burn it at 4x.
Most burning apps will only allow you to select a speed that the combination of the burner & the DVD allow.

Have you checked if your burner is in DMA mode? If it is in PIO then there could be problems.

Your Computer Icon -> Right Click -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> IDE ATA/ATAPI or the like -> Click on each until you find the controller managing the burner.

It sounds like dust has built on the lense. Have someone examine the optical drive for damage.
The laser for burning CD's is usually separate from the laser used for burning DVD's so one might work when the other has failed. The emission level and focus of the laser changes when burning dual-layer media, so likewise, it's possible that it will burn standard DVD's but not dual layer. The commercial lens cleaner disks aren't very effective, but hand-cleaning the lens can be tricky and might void your warranty. I usually use a lintless swab and 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean the DVD burner lenses.
