    Choosing the default hard disk

I have 2 hard drives on my computer, one 20GB partitioned into 2 C: and E:, and one of 500GB, D:. The pb is that the smallest is enabled by default. So for any activity, it saturates very quickly. How do I place the disk 500GB in first?

You can do so by opening your computer, putting the jumper on the 500GB as "Master", and the other on "Slave". This is a piece of black plastic, near the big catch gray. Normally, there is at least an indication to help you. Then you install Windows on the primary (which will be the 500GB) if you want to.

In BIOS, go to "Advanced BIOS Features", there you will see another screen which shows first option as "Hard Disk Boot Priority". Under that it has options as "First Boot Device", "Second Boot Device", "Third Boot device" whose values can be changed as HDD, HDD, CD-ROM RESPECTIVELY
