More sound of ASUS P5Q under Vista 64

    Good evening,

I have a P5Q Pro motherboard, and since this afternoon, I have no sound. I uninstalled (well, tried to uninstall it) Office 2007, and since then nothing.
I reinstalled the drivers with the cd of the motherboard, but it's still not working. I said that my OS is vista 64.
    How to fix this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    HI Jamaima,

According to me this problem occurs because of an uninstallation, Try to do a system restore if you had no problem with it.

    and see what it gives.

    tell us more.

I tried the system restore, without success: the PC can not even start. The problem is a software so I'm used to uninstall Office 2007 (it did not interfere with the normal uninstall ..). He made lots of restore points (a score), and suddenly I do not have access to old issues.

Unless there is a way to access restore points older, for example, dating a month or search by date of creation, I do not know how .

    Hi

you installed VLC with a pack of codecs without installing the 64 bit components? or installed a new version without uninstalling the old or the uninstall was not complete and did not call the media player to its original state making it impossible to install new components or 64 bits ..... ...

I had to kind of worry, nor a restoration to an earlier date or a repair from the DVD has repaired the system at its windows and the reader: I was able to re-install vista 64...

    Hi,

I also think that reinstalling vista would be the solution the simplest and most sure.
I will do it as soon as I have time, but it's always annoying to have to reinstall everything.
