    How to recover data from external HDD ?

    Hello

    I have a external HDD Western Digital 500GB and suddenly it is no longer recognized by XP but only in the BIOS. The problem is that it appears to be completely blank when it was almost full. I do not think that data is lost.

    Can someone help me ?

    Try first to download and make one PC Inspector file recovery and see if it is a problem viewing or deleting data.

    As far as using a linux live-cd if you do not want to install. Have you looked in the device manager if there was a hardware drivers are bad?
