Graphics Card Showing Less Memory!

Hi, i've bought a nVidia 7200 GS PCIe graphics card 256MB. But when i connected it to my computer and checked it, in the adapters properties it is showing only 128MB...!! How do i rectify the error? On the box and in the booklet it is written as 256 MB and i purchased a 256 one! any solutions? help guys!!

Install latest updates from the nVidia website! sometimes corrupt drivers or older drivers can give you such problems. Also try re-installing windows. If nothing works you must send your graphics card to nVidia service center for replacement, as you have bhrought it new, it will be under warranty! All the best!

ok thanks...! i'll try it and if nothing works i'll send it for replacement. but what might be the problem? i can see an IC manufactured by hynix. i have the same IC on my machine's RAM. there are 8 of those IC on my graphics card, is it possible that those chips might not been working?? just want to know!

Yeah, that is also possible, but have never heard of any similar issue before. Its better you don't fiddle with the graphics card physically or your warranty may be void...!! so be very careful while doing anything with your graphics card, read the "warranty terms and conditions"
