Currently I have a computer connected to the LCD TV 37 ", HD Ready with a VGA cable (the same as if a monitor). I can have another team with a card with HDMI output. Are there much difference ?

Sure a lots of difference, HDMI is definitely a lot better than a VGA output in movies, games and 3D applications. for more detais on HDMI and VGA read this thread Difference between the HDMI and VGA Cable for the Xbox 360 ?
good thing is to "see how it sees" the image with both wires. HDMI... is notable, VGA no more than 480 lines of resolution 1080 against passing an HDMI output. The difference is huge, but well, there is no comparison.
