MSI X58 Platinum Motherboard Shows DDR3 1333Mhz RAM as 1066Mhz

I have a MSI X58 Platinum motherboard with a 6gb triple channel memory kit. The problem is that at POST, it shows it's running at the slower 1066 speed and it should probably show 1333mhz instead. any solutions?? I tried loading up the fail safe defaults but that doesn't resolve the issue, I also tried the optimized defaults options in my BIOS and that also didn't work. Any ohter Solutions? I'm screwed!!

Hi! Even i had the same issue a week ago! i found out the problem myself, so thought to share it here and you come just on time! anyways. just go to the MSI website download the BIOS update and BIOS flash tool. Flash your BIOS with the updated version and your problem will be solved... but be carefull while flashing, don't enter invalid commands, read the instructions and proceed. its quite a simple process! all the best!

Hey max! thanks a lot man! your suggestion worked! actually the older BIOS firmware was configured to a low frequence as it would show my RAM a lower frequency one...! anyways thanks a lot! Happy Posting!
