Seagate 500gb HDD Won't show in My Computer

I have recently bought a new Seagate 500Gb Hardrive it's not showing in Windows XP.Can anyone tell me what the issue with my HDD i am having IDE Connector.

Sure i will help you out with this.Does your HDD is showing in BIOS or not.

Yes i am able to see my HDD in BIOS.I am not able to see my drive in My computer.

I was also facing the similar problem i tried to went to disk management, right click the drive intialize, Created a partition and format.

it worked for me hope it will work for you too.
