    Logitech G5 is not recognized

    Hello,

So my Logitech G5 (refresh) which I bought today, is unfortunately not. It will be the plug in the USB slot is not recognized or can not be installed. There always comes a message "New Hardware Found USB Gaming Mouse, etc. (yes we know)" If I then using the mouse driver wants to go not because he's the driver CD as a driver somehow does not recognize.

If I manually install the driver, then reboot, the mouse is not detected and when it arrives in the Windows reboot again the message with the new hardware.
The USB slots are okay as far as my old mouse is detected immediately and without any driver does.
Oh, and if you now think "You do not get a power / cable break, etc."
When you boot the little lights DPI laser show and after the Windows login screen, the DPI display but.
In Device Manager, despite the mouse driver installation at "Other Devices"
as a "USB Gaming Mouse" and it is a question mark and exclamation point.

So, as far so good. Can someone help me or perhaps even has such experience? Were thankful for any advice.

Do not know exactly how it behaves with the G5, but with Razer mice have learned that they really, or even only detected when the driver is installed before you connect the mouse.

Would my opinion times worth a try.

Yes, it just made, and there is unfortunately still not.
Did the old mouse on the same USB slot on the driver installation, and then rebooted, but its still tells me that because a driver is missing, etc.
Strange is the driver in my keyboard (also logitech) perfectly detected. Can the G5 with a ps2 adapter controlled or is it then?

Re: Logitech G5 is not recognized

I have now from a user in the logitech forum get a solution that works for me. I proceeded to:
    1. SetPoint uninstall (I was already the case)
    2. The file "C: \ WINDOWS \ System32 \ drivers \ wdf01000.sys delete
    3. G5 deduct and with a PS2 mouse or another USB mouse to work
    4. Windows reboot
    5. SetPoint install (the G5 during the installation may not be infected!)
    6. Halber security check point 2. (I have SetPoint the file is not re-installed)
    7. The G5 back into the USB plug. Now the driver actually install properly. You can check in Device Manager under "Mice and other pointing devices". There should be an entry "HID compilant Logitech G5 Laser Mouse can be found. Does not this entry, but only "HID-compliant mouse" (it was for me), then with 8
    8. Drivers' HID-compliant mouse "on the device manager to update. This is in the directory c: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Logishrd \ CDDRV2 \ "
    9. Now, the G5 on SetPoint configurable.
