Auto Detecting IDE Drives on every Boot

Recently i bought a new but cheap Motherboard, It works but only one problem, on every boot it auto detects the IDE drives and it takes a couple of minutes doing that.
Is there something i am missing out with regards to the bios setup due to which this is happening, the new motherboard i am using is PC Chips M848A

If you have a manual you can check the four "slots" for IDE drives listed. Just set them to disabled which are not in use. Doing this you can speed up the drive detection, incase in future you add another drive to it then you have to change the settings in tghe BIOS Page.
Perhaps, if don't have the journal you can go here

Try to check the jumper settings of your drive because the major problems are due to improper settings of the jumper.

Great... your problem was solved Leyman, here is some tip you can use, the Quick Boot option form your BIOS in skipping the auto detection and just use whatever drives were last identified.
