    the use of this device depends on what you're doing with your computer, If you're just playing small games or doing word processing, yeah, there's no need for multiple monitors. If you're using some applications (Maya, 3DS Max, After Effects, Avid, etc.) that have a lot of tools & multi-windows, you can get a lot more organized and have a more productive workflow with multiple monitors.
