ASUS P5Q USB ports not working

Recently i got a brand new Assembled PC, turned it ON everything was going fine, but after i inserted my Vista CD and tried to press a key to proceed no response.... later came to know that the keyboard does not registers into the USB port (tried at the front and back as well).
Any suggestions please.

If you are having an optional PS2 keyboard you can use that!!!!

Just check whether the drivers are installed ... if not get them through the internet.

Thanks friends it was a driver issue.....Resolved.......
