I have an HP Compaq 6830s LAPTOP. I think there is problems with the DVD drive. When I play DVDs the screen will go nuts. sometimes a strip down the middle of the screen.
So, my questions are:
Is the problem with the laptop/DVD device?

It is not working due to overheating.

HI,
it could be a bad fan or bad heat sink connection. or take the advantage of warranty period if available.
