Not able to delete file from pen drive

I have 8 GB Transcend pen drive . I am unable to delete files in it . When i am trying to delete file the message is displayed " write protection" . In the pen drive i have only PDF printed file , I want to delete it .

Can anyone help me

scan your pen drive with updated anti-virus. I think there is virus in your pen drive.

hay man its mostly happen due to some virus so try this
click right button of mouse on my computer
there u can find MANAGE click on that
one window will open called " computer management"
there you will see in left partition one option called "disk management"
just click on "disk management" in right side all disk will appear
your pen drive will also shows there
then right click on pen drive and format it.

What is the make or model of the pen drive you have? What if you connect your pen drive to the computer and then go to my computer and then select the same pen drive and right click on it and then quick format it into either ntfs or fat32 file format. Does it gives the same issue or by following this method it gets solved?

Search and download the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool from google and try to format the corrupted pen drive that you have which can't be done by windows xp. It also lets you to create a FAT32 volume larger than 32 GB. Hope that helps you out.
