DVD player broken

Hello,
Today I received a DVD from my teacher and burn over the modeling software solidworks.
But I can not open when I click on the dvd windows but a lead in trying to open it and then my DVD player opens and I get the message "please insert a DVD in the drive: H ".
Yet my drive works perfectly so I remain silent before this problem.
Does that could come from dvd damaged (scratches or other)? Its solution could there be?

1. Do a test with others in your CD player
a) They can be read
b) They can not be read

2. Try the CD provided by the teacher in another drive
a) It can be read
b) It can not be read

If 1a: functional player.
If 1b: Embed possibly defective. Testing over the media.
If 2a: The burned CD is functional.
If 2b: The CD is burned HS ... not look any further. Especially in conjunction with 1a.

If 2a + 1a: The CD is functional but not, for any reason (and it happens frequently), with the player because it seems to work with other media.

We just find a way to isolate the problem and it has even touched the computer! Interesting isnt it?

Whether you know or not know a technical field, always try to apply a logical method to resolve a problem. You'll be surprised at the results.

Take it back to the store where you bought it and see if it can be replaced.

Try cleaning the filter of the player.
Either that or take it to your local GeekSqua, to open the player and check the inside to make sure it's working fine.
