    Pioneer unveiled its first Blu-ray 8x

    Pioneer recently unveiled its first Blu-ray 8x. This recorder SATA 3Gb / s has 4 MB of cache .It is available in two colors, black (BDR-S03J-BK) and white (BDR-S03J-W) during the month of January. It measures 148 mm x 42.3 mm x 180 mm and weighs 820 g.

    The different speeds are etchings as follows:
    • 8x BD-R / BD-R DL

    • 16x DVD + / - R

    • 8x DVD + / - R DL

    • 6x DVD-RW

    • 8x DVD + RW

    • 32x CD-R

    • 24x CD-RW

    • 2x DVD-RAM


    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (3.6GHz, 1.44v) with TR Ultra 120E,
    Gigabyte GA-EX38-DQ6 v1.1, 4GB G.Skill PI 1066 5-5-5-15 2.1v ,

    Pioneer BDR-S03J-BK Blu-Ray Burner

    Succeeding including LG and Sony, Pioneer unveiled to turn a burner capable of burning internal Blu-ray at a speed of 8x. Available in black (BDR-S03J-BK) and white (BDR-S03J-W), it uses the SATA 3 Gbps interface and offers 4 MB buffer.

    It therefore serious BD-R and BD-R DL (Blu-ray dual-layer) up to 8x, DVD-R 16x, DVD-R DL discs 8x, DVD-RW 6x, CD - R and 32x CD-RW 24x. No mention is made of burning speed on BD-RE (Blu-ray rewritable).

    It should be available in January 2009 at a price unknown.
