successful burn, but no data, still blank disc

My machine is vista and badly i didnt find the option IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service in it. It contain COM+ Event System and COM + System Application...and the first 1 is automatic and 2nd is manual. and i cant find an option tht u have mentioned in the recording tab too..sorry

So if i did like this then the dvd formatting issue also solved?

It's hard to tell at this point. First, please post back with some info about your computer hardware. Do you have any other similar programs like EMC installed? Check in System Properties/Device Manager and make sure your drive is shown without a yellow mark next to it. It is advisable to update the firmware for your burner.

I had the same problem with you rohith.
after burning process is complete, whether any cd or dvd in it either a regular file, iso file, cd / dvd blank no contents. whereas if I see on the surface of the cd or dvd have sign that has been filled data. I've tried to replace the dvd-rw with new dvd-rw device, I also have tried with a USB DVD-RW, try a variety of burning software from Nero 6, Nero 7, Nero 8, Nero 9, Nero 10, Ashampoo, Alcohol 120% and various other burning software, the result remains the same. To note, a few days ago everything was normal, I can do all sorts of burning cd or dvd without any problems. I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64. any body can help me..,pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee..

There could be issue like your data cable are not connected driver to MB and so therefore I would like to suggest you make sure all this and after that let me know the issue. I would also suggest you to make sure that you’re burning to the CD/DVD RW and not to an image on your HD. If this also doesn’t helps you then I would like to suggest you to make use of some other software like InfraRecorder etc and after that go through your issue on new burner software.
