My new computer problem

Hi,

Recently i purchased a new computer and everything was working fine until one day when i tried to restart it, it failed to boot . So i had to wipe out completely and had to start over the process again (installing vista) and finally everything was settled for a few days but once again it failed to boot. This time i got really irritated and booted in safe mode after a several tries to boot in all possible modes in failure. Finally d boot in safe mode with command prompt worked fine and i restored my computer and it started working. Now once again wen i restarted it a few days ago it failed to boot resulting in total lock down tat i cud'nt install any os. Wen i try to install some os, it stops at various stages of installation. Any help please. i tried all checks like swapping ram, checking hard disk in my frnd's computer. it all works fine but in my computer it stops abruptly at various stages.

Its really a strange problem. See try to repartition your hard disk on your friends computer with Windows 98 CD, Then try to install OS on your PC but this time take different installation CD because you saying that the installation stops at various stages so might be installation CD is corrupted. As you said you have check RAM and HD now try to CHeck your Motherboard also. And one more thing its new PC then try to take the advantage of warranty period rather than taking all stress on you. Try to install another OS on your computer, the current problem may be related to your Bootable cd.
