It depends on the mark.
It is that the remote does not mean that it uses much more power than the internal (it is obviously a little heavy in power but not much). Find out which brand to sit in and look it up. It is listed in amps. Times that figure by 12 (volts) tell you Watt.

The problem is that the manufacturer of my 1TB Western Digital only indicates power requirements of 100-240 VAC and 47-65 Hz!
