Can I get picture through a DVB-C tuner

I have some time considering whether I should change the old TV out with a flat screen, and come to that it is high time! Now, I studied the market and come across a phrase which has caused confusion, the case of DVB-C. I live in a property in Copenhagen with cable television, but does not recognize the digital or analog signal coming through, has no idea who the provider is.

So my question is, if not this is a digital signal coming through my cable can I get picture through a DVB-C tuner? And if it is a digital signal coming through, it will then provide improvement in picture quality compared to if I had a DVB-C tuner?

You should contact your aerial and know who provides your cable TV and whether there is the possibility to use DVB-C.

Usually there are some that get at the signal to digital vs analog. The TV will operate with less noise reduction, etc. Deinterlacing giving you a better picture - provided that you have a flat screen, then. With a CRT TV, it does.
