Hard Drive Making Noise!

I am using XP SP2 on my 80GB IDE drive. It was working fine from last six months but now when i play games or copies files from my hard drive then it starts making noise like its dieing so is there anything i can do with it or make it funtion proper?

Yes its seems your HDD is dieing and there are lot of bad sectors are present on your hard disk try the following steps hope they will helpfull:
Go to the control panel and then Select Administrative tools and then Computer Management -> Storage->Disk Defragmentation and analyze and Defragment your hard disk.

yes you can try DEGRAGMENT HARDDISK to improve it performance.
or also you can try to low level format it
