DVI to HDMI

I have just purchased a DVI to HDMI cable to connect the computer and television. The cable is from 'High & Lauritzen' and has the following description: 'D 18 1 DVI to HDMI type 19 pole 10 meters'.

When I ordered cable I asked about the type of cable supported 1080p in addition to 10 meters, and was told that it did certainly. When I saw download cable, it is another salesman, and when I do not see any specs on the package, I ask the new. This time I will answer 'It's just a cable' and 'as long as it is intended for DVI and HDMI is 1080p', which is bull.

So my question is whether there is a place I can check it before I packs it off, or possibly a program I can use to test it?

When it comes to distance selling, you can safely unzip it. If it does not work you can send it back as long as it is "essentially the same state and quantity".

I will do and try to optimize screen setup, so I can well see if it will accept 1080p.
