Primary IDE Channel 80 conducts no cable installed

I had started to transfer data from my hard drive to an external disk. Suddenly, the windows went to stand by and did not react to anything. I made a hard reboot and have now then the following 2 error messages (just after the counting of RAM) every time I start up again:

#Primary IDE Channel 80 conducts no cable installed

#Keyboard error or no keyboard present

Keyboard works on another PC and I have verified that the IDE cable is properly positioned. PC has previously worked fine until now.
My PC is from 2002, but with div newer parts (RAM, PSU, HD, etc.)

Some ideas on what I should do?

    Clear CMOS

It is probably no BIOS settings to mess up (perhaps trying to boot up your external ...)

There are not many other options if you have checked the cables through
Otherwise, try to disconnect the remote - it will then boot up?

hmm do not know how much sense you have on PCs, but will just be sure it also has a 80 conduct cable you have connected to may simply toss a "no" cable select cable in and try to set the hard drive through denominator jump
