External connectland hard drive problem

hello,

I have a box external hard drive "connectland" USB2-ST-2318B 3 ½ "
Download driver
Enclosure 3 ¼ external USB 2.0 Aluminum IDE hard drive, fan internal, external power supply, power switch, with up format, elegant design with acrylic support

before I reformat my hard drive my box led diode was green and everything was fine.
since I reformatted the LED is red and I met "mass storage device USB with a yellow exclamation point above.
and when I right-click it, and then "ownership" I read:
"This device can not start (code 10).

All this despite the fact that (i believe that my installation CD was damaged) I went to the site of connectland and I downloaded the drivers.
I uninstalled the drivers' and I've reinstalled but nothing to do.

I had my whole life on this disk ...

Now what to do?

What Operating system are you using?. I can help in some way if you tell me this. This can be due to problem in Windows.

To use a dd external drives and USB....the driver is already part of xp.

After formatting have you installed drivers of the motherboard ?

Yes and I made a copy of what is in my hard drive on "my profile".
