USB Drive not being detected on my computer

    Hello,
I am facing this problem from quite a few days ago!
I have this 1GB pen drive which is not being detected on my computer i mean its there in "safely remove hardware" but i don't see it in the my computer! When I plug it in, it apparently recogonizes it because it is listed in the system tray under the "Safely Remove Hardware" section/icon (bottom left). I mean it is not getting any drive letter. Can you guys help me?

I feel your computer has assigned the drive letter to some other drive that's why its being a bit confused.
    Do this
Right-click "My Computer" then "Manage" and the "Disk Management" area and check your network drives are mapped through a script right-click the drive letter that could be interfering & "disconnect"
Does your computer detect any other usb drive or not? & also try to plug this usb drive & see if it works on another machine?
