Pc does not recognize hard disk

I just brought external hard disk media, with a hard drive sata and my computer does not recognize it, I looked in the administration of computer, there is no mistake, the administrator of discs and no sale, I tried to change units by those who have had the same and if anything, that is no longer acceptable. Where I work I plugged the usb other things so I do not think that is problem. Let's see if somebody drops me a cable.

Check all wiring HDD, and to reach current, led some lights or something to indicate that this connected?
