Sound driver don't work on HP DX2450 PC

I have a HP Compaq DX2450 Microtower PC having Genuine Windows Vista® Business 32 with downgrade to Windows® XP Professional 32 custom installed. When I change my OS to XP, the sound driver don't work.

Did you used Everest identifier? Use it and make sure what audio you are running. Are you using an onboard or external sound card?

I am not having any external sound card. I used that program but it doesn't see any audio other than some windows audio in the multimedia section. I think I should buy some new sound card which might solve my problem. Can anyone recommend me a new sound card?
