    Unified Remote

At the bottom side you can find a media section. Through this you can control the media player that is active on your pc screen. You can change songs, you can play/pause, etc The app also brings simple voice control features. Under power you can find different options to turn off the pc. It provide you option like restart, shutdown, lock, etc. Unified Remote is the most simplest and easy to use remote app. I am quite sure you won't find anything better than this. Other than the above two apps you can also use Remote Control Collection. This one is a lightweight and ideal for old devices. Remote Control Collection is quiet similar to above apps and it offer you a full mouse and keyboard control. If you go for the pro edition you can also get the live screen on your tablet. It has option to configure speed commands. You can control media files through audio also.

A few other apps which works in the same manner are Remote Link, PC Remote Controller and VLC Remote. Remote Link has the most simplest interface. Compare to Remote Control Collection, this is one more light. It gives you a simple layout and icons on the phone screen to control your media player. It does not require much configuration. PC Remote Controller provide you option to turn off your pc on the basis of schedule. That means you can set a time to turn off your system. You can set that in form of 5 min, 10, min, 20, min, etc. It allow you a full fledge support control different type of media player that include Winamp, Gom, VLC, YouTube, Windows Media Player, etc. You can control PowerPoint slide show through that. And the last one VLC Remote is only designed to control vlc media players. It brings you limited help but good for one single media player usage.
