One of the most awaiting game of this season has been released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Many Far Cry 3 lovers have already started playing the game. As usual some unlucky gamers might encounter some known issues while running and playing the game. So here, I am listing all of the known issues that might occur with a fix for the same.
Before installing Far Cry 3 one should be aware of Minimum requirements and he should update his hardware drivers to the latest as well.
Minimum Specifications:
- OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 2.6 GHz or AMD Athlon64 X2 6000+ @ 3.0Ghz or better
- RAM: 2 GB
- Graphics: 512MB Video RAM (1GB Video RAM), DirectX9c (DirectX11) Shader Model 3.0 (Shader Model 5.0)
- DirectX: 9.0c
- Hard Drive: 15 GB HD space
- Sound: DirectX Compatible (Recommended Surround Sound 5.1 capable)
- Other Requirements: Broadband Internet connection
- Requires a UPlay account
Supported Graphic Cards:
- AMD Radeon: HD 2900 / 3000 / 4000 / 5000 / 6000 / 7000 series
- NVIDIA: GeForce 8800 GTX / 9 / 200 / 400 / 500 / 600 series
If you are running laptop version of the above cards then you won’t be able to run the game as they are not supported.
I have covered whole lot of errors and issues below:
Launcher & Multiplayer Connection issue:
- In case you have any kind of problem with Launcher & Multiplayer Connection then you can try out below solutions one after the other.
- Update your anti-virus or firewall program
- If that doesn’t makes any difference than try allowing below network ports in configuration of your router/ modem/ firewall
Far Cry 3 Ports - UDP: 21200, 7959, and 3074
UPlay Launcher - TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 13005, 13200
Achievements - UDP & TCP: 14001
Xbox360 Controller doesn’t work:
If you’re Xbox360 Controller refuses to work than and re-plug the controller and restart the game. If that doesn’t makes any difference than try updating your xbox360 controller driver.
