How to Mod your old CPU Case

CPU Case also called as Cabinets are one of the most common and widely used thing in a desktop system. Ample of time when are quiet fed up with our old computer we prefer to upgrade that. Many of us tries to find some unique designs which are not really in our budget. But there is a community of people who are crazy about modding. They can just convert their regular CPU Case to anything you want. For that you need the right kit. You also need to make the list of stuff you want to add. There are two ways which primarily comes under modding. First you can assemble each and every particle by making piece by piece the best CPU Case in the world or you can buy a readmy tower which gives a unique look. Alienware has some of the unique models in market. There are number of online people who offer you modding services. But the cost depends on the design you want. Before that have a look on the unique designs in the image below. I had listed three unique design which shows the extreme level of modding. With right tool and creative you can just make anything out of it. But another important requirement is having a fair knowledge on PC hardware. You must know the connections, the hardware and other important factor which are necessary for modding. If you are alien about them, then simply drop the idea of modding. It is not complicated to understand you will need time to figure out what all it comes with. Somehow modding is a technique of making your cpu case a bit more unique. You can simply attract a number of people around you showing up the creative options. Here I will list you some options to manually mod your PC Case or simply buy a ready made one. Remember there is no budget thing mentioned here. The more unique design you look for, the more amount you have to spend.

As you can see in the above image some of the most unique designs. But remember that you cannot find them on sale on web. The last design of a black cabinet belongs ot NZXT. They provide affordable modes in easy way. Somehow creating designs like above is not at all possible. You need special elements for that. I will list you some of the most common things you can add and try out. First thing there are ready to use kits on web. What you need to check is look for the right kit. There are ample of available which are not worth enough. You need a good drill with proper tools. This tools that are used to drill parts together and fix them properly. First of all customizing your old cpu case is a bit complicated procedure. You have to make place for fans, led lights, and extra stuff that you want to add. The most common thing that I seen people doing is adding a voltage meter or RF remote. This remote allows you to shutdown and turn on your pc at your own. It is operated and controlled by the universal remote. So that is the first easy thing you can do. Now we would look one by one on all the elements that we can mod. It is quiet important first to make space in your existing cpu case. If you are trying to add number of things you have to arrange proper space and ensure that ventilation is not hampered. Ventilation means the airflow. If you are adding liquid cooling then it is not a bad choice, but if you are going to depend on Air Cooling then you must not block the flow directly through any stuff. Modding is just like a hobby or fun. It is just like a waste of money but still there are ample of guys who are crazy about the same. Lets go in detail about each and every stuff together.

Cpu Case Modding Kit :- A mod kit contains number of tools. It mostly contains of things that you are going to make space or customize the case. First it has a powerful drill which is small yet but a portable devices to manage spaces. Second a polishing tool which gives the finishing touch to the design. Third a proper coloring kit, which can help you to give it a unique look. The regular cpu case comes in rectangular form which is place vertically. The psu is fitted on the back top side and hard drive in the front. Under modding you have to manage those spaces. You have to clear out everything which is not needed. Then you can simply with screws and stands create spaces to hook up a psu or hard drive one by one. The most complicated hardware to fix properly is the motherboard. It is intact in size and you can do nothing on it. You have to leave space for the cpu fan and cables to move across. Another most problematic thing that appears in this modding procedure is cables. The cables that come with existing system are small. That is reason we cannot move the psu at any place. The place for PSU and Motherboard is fixed.

    CPU Case : -

This is another important choice, but we have nothing to do in that. Mostly the cpu case we buy comes with intact design. What more you can do is add some fans on the left side and hook a voltage meter or RF remote unit on the front. When you are fixing LED lights it is recommended that you upgrade your PSU. It might need more power to perform. Till today there is no popular brand in the market which offer you unique cases. Whatever you have to do is do on your own. So the changes that you can go for is fans, extra storage connectivity. a ush hub hooked inside the design, etc. It is a bit complicated to find elements for traditional cpu case. So to remove your budge you must stick with some limited fixes only. Add some fans that are easy to find on web with led stuff. So in case of cpu case I would recommend best to for some brands which offer you a bit portable cases. Somehow it is not complicated to find the right one. But if you are planing to make it a bit different then here are some tips. Get some unique ideas from web for the same. Then make wire-frame of your cpu case. Create a sketch of the same on a paper first so that you get a idea what you have to do. Make a list of elements in it and the place where you have to keep them. Once you are done with that the next step is to find the new things you want to add. Do you want to put a extra CD/DVD player, a RF Remote tool Kit, LED lights, fans or liquid cooler.

LED Lights, Fans and Other Equipment :-

This are the additional accessories you will need. This are on your need. The more you buy the more you will need to pay. Or else it is just the right thing you can go for. LED Light and Fans are quiet easy to find. Other equipment consist of liquid coolers or RF kit. A RF kit as I had told above is a kind of Remote control kit. You can use to turn off and control your computer with a remote. Somehow till today we do not find computers with remote connectivity. All we have to do is control the same with the help of wifi mouse and keyboard. It is not at all complicated to locate and find the right LED light setup. There are number of sellers online which sells them. They provide you a proper kit which can be fixed easily with your current psu.
