This article includes updating the Corsair X-Series SSDs firmware, so guy who have their respective SSD’s they can follow this and updated their SSD’s firmware.
This update will enable the TRIM command contained by Windows 7 for drives with untimely firmware versions that do not currently support it. Prior to proceeding with this update, there are some EXTREMELY IMPORTANT items I would like to aware you about.
Please read the following CAREFULLY:
1. THIS UPDATE TOOL IS PRELUDE - It is incapable to pass our standard reception testing for customer utilization. And off course It is being liberated due to brawny customer insist only and exercise of this tool is supported by Corsair, but is not suggested.
2. THIS UPDATE TOOL WILL NOT WORK WITH EACH SYSTEMS- Breakdown has been practiced throughout testing on a variety of systems. If your system is not capable to update the firmware on the drive, it is strongly recommended as you should send the drive to Corsair to have it updated.
3. CONSECUTIVELY THIS UPDATE MAY CAUSE troubles WITH YOUR DRIVE - I have experienced instances on other vendors’ websites where firmware update has caused the drive to no longer be renowned by the system. In such cases, Corsair will update the drive.
4. CORSAIR WILL REVAMP OR CHANGE ANY DRIVES WHICH ARE NOT UPDATED effectively - Any drives which are not modernized effectively can be sent to Corsair for update.
(Note: that in all circumstances this will result in whole removal of the drive and a rotate time of two to four weeks, counting shipping.)
5. X-256 Owners: Firmware 1.1 ON X-256 DRIVES SUPPORTS TRIM AND DOES NOT NEED TO BE UPDATED TO HAVE TRIM SUPPORT!
