Apple offers iTunes software for Mac OS and Windows to its, but not for Linux. Using a trick it is possible, however, to use iTunes Ubuntu Linux. But under the operating system Ubuntu is the Windows emulator WINE used. Our guide contains the steps to iTunes to use with Ubuntu Linux. Linux users do have a large selection of mostly free programs, but on some popular software that is only available for Windows and Mac OS, they have to do without. With emulators, however, the problem can often work around. We say how iTunes can be used on a computer with Ubuntu Linux.
iTunes is one of the most-used programs to download music to play. Although it takes on Linux really no more iTunes to sync your iPod or iPhone, but in order to access the iTunes store with its immense variety, it is still needed as before. Of course it's always nice when you can work with an original product. On Linux, there will be no version of iTunes software. Therefore, you need a Windows emulator which is Wine. There is no Linux version of iTunes, unfortunately not - and there will probably never will. In order to still use iTunes on Linux, there are two solutions: the Wine Windows emulation or a Linux alternative like iTunes gtkpod, Banshee and Amarok.
Anyhow iTunes remains the ideal companion to sync your iPod and transfer your music or photos via a FireWire or USB is a breeze! You can choose to synchronize your playlists every time you connect your player. Finally, iTunes Store is the most easy to find, discover and download music or videos ... legally. iTunes has a synchronization module with the iPad. Genius mix has been improved with 12 mixes machines, and the synchronization module. Finally, one function "Home Sharing" allows you to browse iTunes libraries on different computers in your home (up to 5). With the new version, iTunes can now be synchronized with the iPhone 4 or any other device running the Apple operating system iOS4. Also some security fixes, this new version also supports synchronization of PDF files with iBook.
