Sports is not a popular career choice in India

I had seen many students not realy interested in sports in India. There are ample of people who are mostly interested towards a degree that can offer them a stable job. And other does not really risk. Do you think it is due to lack good universities and proper playgrounds students are not really interested to invest their time in sports. It is really hard for me to decide also. I was first thinking of starting a career in sports after 12 but due to limited amount of scope it is getting a tough decision.

For those who want to settle down soon. That is the reason there are people who are not really interested in getting into sports. There are few states who really give good support in sports by offering more funds to universities and colleges. But in few states this does not really exist. Sports is a costly career. You need a lot of patience in that and also you need to be financially strong in-order to get the best training from coaches. Like Cricket. It is a nice career but not so easy.

You have to plan a career in that. And for that you need support from a person who can guide you properly. Because there are so many things to decide. It is easier for those who are playing cricket from their school time. Like people playing volleyball or racing. And then it gets easier to get into a good college through sports credit. For others there are different form of centers that can train you for that. You can then simply go ahead and select which is best for you. And it is right that you must have a good financial background for that.

I think cricket is the only one sport which is so popular in India and one can make career in it.
And talking about today's students so technology has moved so much that today kids are far away from playground and all they play with tabs, computer,etc.
