    what is the eligibility for Marine Engineering Course

    I will be comleting my hsc from science this year, I am thinking of joining Marine Engineering Course further, I wanted to know what is the eligibility for it. Do I need to do any specialization in particular subject for getting eligible? Any ideas? I also wanted to know the courses which are offered in Marine Engineering, Help regarding this will be highly appreciated.

    Yes you have to pass higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination either of these science subjects: biology, maths and chemistry. Below are the courses offered in Marine Engineering.
    • Diploma in Marine Engineering
    • Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering
    • Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering
    • Bachelor of Technology in Naval architecture & Ocean Engineering
    • Master of Technology in Air Armament
    • Master of Engineering in Marine Engineering
    • Master of Technology in Marine Engineering
    • Master of Technology in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture

    There are some specialized fields in Marine Engineering, you can chose any one amongst them as well:
    • Maritime Commerce
    • Marine Refrigeration
    • Command and Control System
    • Weaponry and Weapon Systems
    • Navigation Systems and Equipment
    • Marine Renewable Energy Research
    • Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Research
    • Information, Communication Systems and Equipment
    • Offshore Extractive and Infrastructure (Cable Laying)

    Hey thanks for clearing my doubts, can you let me know which is best college for Marine Engineering here in Delhi? Posts for which I can apply after completing my course? What salary can I expect after completing bachelor’s degree?

    I am not aware of all posts but these are something that I have heard of, after completing your course you can expect between Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 40,000 monthly in trainee level. You will get more as your experience goes on increasing.
