Project on Indian chemical Export

Im a Management student, well I have got a project on Chemical Export. As I have Done My Graduation in Science so im not much aware about this economic terms. What rank does India hold in Asia and in World in chemical Industry. Apart from chemical industry which are other items which India exports on Larger scale.Are there any Foreign Investors in India in chemical Industry.

The Term Export is very much familiar to everyone but still I would like to define as Selling of goods or Services done outside the country but made within country is termed as Export. The seller of such goods and services is referred as exporter. India ranks 26th largest Exporter in the world. India exports numerous leather products for daily use like leather wallets, belts, key holders, folders, pouches, leather toys, handbags etc. Gift items made of leather such as Leather note books, decorated leather journals, key rings are quite popular in foreign countries.

Chemicals are substances obtained using a chemical process to produce a chemical based compound or element. India has become a leader in international manufacturing and they persist in this movement. The chemical industry sector, comprising of fine chemicals and organic and inorganic chemicals, accounts for about 17 per cent of the country’s total industrial production and 16 per cent of the export of manufactured goods. Last few Years have been very profitable by Exporters in inorganic chemical as they had made good profits which was recorded around globe.

Exports are influenced through many channels. Channels can be classified broadly into two groups. One channel refers to demand side factors, which can lead to a sudden turnaround in growth, while the other channel refers to supply-side factors. If supply-side factors are not favourable, this may prevent a quick revival of exports and may also act as an obstacle to maintaining high growth for a long period.

Chemical industry is one of the oldest industries in India. India is the Third Largest Chemical producer in Asia and 12th Largest in the World. Many Small and Medium Industries have made good profits by producing thousands of products and bi-products. The Chemical Industries Contribute 20% of National revenues by various Taxes and levies.The Indian Chemical Industry Has been Receiving significant foreign Direct investment which benefits the country by making employment and making think other foreign investors to invest.
