Hey I am doing MCA & i want to know the best possible option for me in India.
What language Should i go for?

I would prefer Mumbai over Delhi.

Well any job requirements looks for either experience or freshers.
One more thing its not that MCA guys don't have opportunities they do have good opportunities.
PHP is a server sice script language like asp.net & not software programming.
If you are interested in Coding & application development then i must advice you to go for .Net or Java whatever you feel comfortable for you.

Java is going to be there for a long way IMO.

Well I think PHP is also in demand in market lots of web-applications are made in PHP. ASP.net aspx, jsp, jsf, struts are used in enterprise applications.

Actually I just wanted to know the market demands as a person newly getting into this field.

    Thanks.

I, basically, decided to learn php since it will be easier to learn java afterwards.
i believe it will be more beneficial to learn php as i will be able to apply it to Java easier.

Re: JAVA PHP or (dot) .net?

Why would Java be easier to learn once you know php?
Java is nothing like php. php is now where JSP was around 1999, but JSP has moved on and is now nowhere near where it was back then.

If you want an easier entry into Java think about C++ and Delphi (yes, I know the syntax is different but the organisation is similar).

Here you will find comparison between JAVA, .NET & PHP.

learn java .... is a little bit difficult , but it's much more complex than php ..

php is only for web based solutions ...

I am marry here.I read your comment. So you are confuse between JAVA, PHP and.NET.Well it is very common confusion. As per my knowledge is concern i think you should prefer >net if you want to go further for web designing.PHP is also a nice option for that,But i think .net is best among them.Thank you for sharing the comment...
