New Delhi: With an aim to make education more informative and bring parity among all students enrolled with the Delhi University (DU), both regular as well as correspondence the varsity is going to provide course structure online for 12 disciplines.
This initiative has been taken by the Institute of Life Long Learning (ILLL) of DU.
Students will be able to get course material on their institutes' portal; they will also be able to take video recorded lessons from the faculties of the varsity.
Prof. A. K. Bakshi, Director, ILLL said, "Out of total taught streams at the university, 12 courses are being provided on the portals. The e-learning material will not only include the exact syllabi of the subjects but also value additions like pointers to common misperceptions, points to ponder, pop-ups, do it yourself work and web-links."
Reportedly, around 600 teachers are being deployed for writing the content material in various subjects.
Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Life Sciences, English, Computer Sciences, Political Science and Commerce streams are in the process to be included soon online.
Quizzes and self-assessment sections for students will also be available for students for e-preparation. More than 12,000 questions have already been prepared to help students.
