Industry leaders from Aviation and Hospitality sector came together to phase out the doubt of safe career in the aviation and services sector among the aspirants during a round table conference organised by AHA Air Hostess Academy today. Mr.Anil Bhandari, MD - JHMInterstate Hotels India Ltd, Mr.Kamal Hingorani, VP – SpiceJet, Mr.John Powell, Regional Manager - North & East India - Qantas Airways, Mr.Pran Dasan, Regional Manager - South Asia & Pakistan-Kuwait Airways addressed the students on this occasion. Ms.Sapna Gupta, Founder and Director, AHA Air Hostess Academy and Mr.Rajan Mehra, Business Head, Strategic Alliance Department, AHA was also present during the session.
During the discussion all speakers were unanimous on the point that current downturn is a temporary phenomenon and these Industries will eventually bounce back - and in a much bigger way! India's potential in both Aviation and Hospitality has not been met. Further in comparison to even its much smaller neighbours like Thailand and Singapore and Sri Lanka, India has a lesser frequency of flights and in the hospitality sector the total number of Hotel rooms is minuscule compared to its neighbours. For instance Bangkok alone has more Hotel rooms than all combined in India. More than 500 aspirants from all branches of AHA Air Hostess Academy in Delhi NCR were part of this discussion.
Talking on the future prospects in the aviation and hospitality industry and this initiative of bringing industry leaders on a single platform Ms.Sapna Gupta, Founder & Director - Air Hostess Academy said, “The current dark phase is most likely to be over by early next year and once again, we should see a robust growth in Aviation and Hospitality sector! We have ample opportunities to be explored and all concerned parties including Government of India are working extremely hard at the moment in this direction.”
