Admissions open for Research programmes at GGSIP University

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi is inviting applications for ‘Doctoral/ Post Doctoral Research programmes’, for 2008-09 academic session.

Research opportunities are available for eligible scholars/ candidates in the specialized areas of Biotechnology, Chemical Technology, Information Technology, Basic & Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management Studies, Environment & Disaster Management and Law & Legal Studies in respective School of Studies of GGSIPU. Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, the constituent college of University is also offering research programmes in different areas of engineering including Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering.

Eligible and short-listed candidates will be called for an interview and to make a presentation for about 30 minutes about his/ her research plan before the School Research Committee (SRC), to test the comprehension of his/ her field/ area of research, academic preparations and potential to carry out the proposed research.

The amount of fellowship for pursuing research for Ph.D will be Rs. 12000 per month and for Post Doctoral research it will be Rs. 18000 per month.

Application processing fee of Rs. 250 and US $25 prescribed for all eligible Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals/ NRI’s or their wards respectively, must be sent along with the application form in the form of Bank Draft/ Demand Draft in favour of 'Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi', payable at Delhi.
