hi...
My suggestions for the books are :
1. C --- The C programming language by kerningham and rithcie...PHI
The ultimate refernce to C written by the inventors themselves ...cheap 100bucks only...good for beginners and advanced students
For pointers --- Understanding Pointers in C by Yashwant Kanitkar
Must for a library
2. C++ --- The books by Ravichandran, Balaguruswamy , Lafore(If u want the names i will give them later)
All are good I personally prefer first two...Balagurswamy for good language and quality and Ravichandran for being very simple(smtimes stupid simple) lots of examples and covering a lot of topics.
3.Java --- Herbert Schildt is the defacto standard but i will also highly recommend Java 2 Black Book for more practical teaching ...also Books from Sun like The Java Tutorial are a nice keep
4.CCNA --- CCNA book from Todd lamble , publisher : Sybex...All my CCNA frns have used this one and also the ones pursuing CCNA use this...the one from Cisco Press is also good for detailed study
Test ur C skills and Test ur C++ skills have also become quite popular recently ...havent chked them out yet so cant comment.
For a library i also recommend keeping a copy (atleast) of The C++ programming Language by Stroustrup as a reference ...its a bit tough for beginners but very good for referencing and excellent for C programmers
Others cant comment ...I did PHP thru a ebook and dont know abt its availabitliy in market u can have a look at the ebook (uploaded it for reference only)
