How to open trn ebooks

I have a kindle fire and I have received some trn ebooks from one of my friend, I have transferred them in to my kindle but they are not getting opened for some reason. Is there anything else that I can try out for opening trn ebooks in my kindle?? Any idea?

As far as I am aware TRN files are created by Microsoft SQL Server which is a relational database management system (RDBMS) application. TRN files are often backed up with a .BAK file. I don’t think you will be able to open it in your kindle as it’s certainly not an ebbok. You can download and install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or some latest version for opening it.

Yes trn is not an ebboks as AbiaA have mentioned it is a SQL backup file. I am not sure but you can convert it to an ebook file type using converted like caliber. Caliber is available as free download and you can easily find it over the web. If that doesn’t help than you can surely Use Microsoft SQL Server to open .trn transaction backup files.

I don’t think that there might be any converter to convert trn file type in to some other file type. You only have the option of using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and its latest version.
