    How to remove Slideshow Lock Screen in Windows 8

    Can anyone please tell me how do I remove the screen that we used to pull out of the way to enter our password at the time of booting Windows 8 or restoring from Sleep mode or similar type of ways. When I press the spacebar then it slides away and I dont find it quite useful? So does anyone know about a way how to disable it permanently in Windows 8? Thanks for any information in advance.

    You can disable the lock screen by going into the registry or either downloading the Disable Lock Screen.reg file from here. After you have downloaded the file save it to your desktop. Now double click on the same .reg file to merge it in the registry by running it and confirming to Yes if UAC is prompted. Hope this helps.

    Well, simply press the Windows key on your keyboard or place the mouse pointer in the right side of the corner of the Windows 8 screen and then click on Settings and then Change PC settings. After that click on Lock Screen at the Top settings. Now drag the knob to the left side under Play a slideshow on the lock screen to disable it, that it you are done now.

    There is a tool called Lock Screen Customizer for Windows 8 for Windows 8 to disable or customize the things that you want. It will usually allow you to customize many options for the lock screen that are given below, just search and download it from the internet:
    1. background image;
    2. date language;
    3. time format (12/24 hours)
    4. color set for sign in screen;
    5. add Lock Screen Slideshow with autochanging background images every time you sign in.
    6. enable verbose logon messages (see video below);
    7. disable Lock Screen.
