Dell Optiplex 360 Desktop PC freezing randomly

I want some help to fix freezing issue of Dell Optiplex 360 Desktop PC. A few weeks ago this was working fine. But suddenly it started freezing. It takes a long time to open up application. The pc also takes really long time to shutdown and to boot. I am not really sure about making changes in windows settings. I hope there will be some better options through which I can fix the issue.

The most important and common cause of computer crashes are errors in Windows registry. Damage or corrupt registry values cause unstability in the system. So you have to go ahead with cleaning the system. You can do that through a good registry cleaner software. You can find ample of them on the web. The best one among all is CCleaner. Just download this software and run the setup. This will tool will scan your system for damage registries and fix the same.

To fix the pc it is necessary to find what applications are running in the background. You can find that through Task Manager. There is one more advance tool which can give you more detailed information on all background applications. You can download and test Process Explorer. This is a advance tool that will give you details of all background processes. You can then simply get rid of what you don't want. You can also run system restore. This is best to restore old settings.

A operating system has a number of key elements that need to be maintained. For example, the registry of Windows. It is one of the most important elements of a OS. All programs on the computer rely on the use of registry. If there are errors in the registry, then it has a direct negative impact on computer performance. It is necessary that you go with occasional cleanup of your system. You can run disk defragmentation.

In the first step is to verify that if the RAM. New software's are more resource intensive. If the RAM is less than 1GB, then I will suggest you to increase taht to 2GB atleast. Lack of RAM is a problem and cause slow performance. If Windows crashes at the time of running a particular program, then you need updates drivers.

Before going ahead with any troubleshooting stuff it is necessary that you must find the cause of slow down. System restore is a short term fix. It is going to give you a basic solution only. The best thing you can do is simply go ahead with cleaning your system. Remove programs which are not required. Remove software's and this will boost the system output. The second thing you can do is go ahead with windows repair installation. Do not forget to take data backup before doing the same.
