Right click on the taskbar and untick 'Lock The Taskbar'. Click and hold the left mouse button on a blank area of the toolbar. Then drag it to wherever you want it. Once done, right click the taskbar and check the "Lock the Taskbar" to prevent it to get the location change by mistake.
You can control Windows Taskbar by right-clicking on it and selecting Properties. To get the taskbar controls, here are the steps:
- Right-click the desktop
- Choose Properties
- Click Plus tab
- Select Show Windows Contents While Dragging
- Click OK
You can also do so by registry edit as follows:
- Go to Start, Run and type "regedit"
- Registry Editor opens up. Look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders.
- Here you will find a set of values of type REG_EXPAND_SZ. You can change the location of Start by changing the value of entry related to "Start Menu".
