How to move start menu button in windows xp

    Hello,

I've really become fond of having the start menu bar live on the left side of my display in xp. Do anyone knows how to move the taskbar from vertical right of my screen to bottom horizontal, I have tried dragging it back, but that doesn't work. Some way to move it to its original place.

Right-click on the taskbar at the right side of your monitor, and turn off the Lock the taskbar option, Next, with the mouse grab a blank portion of the taskbar and start dragging.

Try Start Moving 1.0, Start Moving is an odd little application that causes your Start button to start dancing to the right on your taskbar.

You can set the speed and the steps involved in the movement. Just click on Start, and it slowly slides to the right on your taskbar. You can click Reset to put it back.

The change isnt permanent, as the Start button is right where it should be the next time Windows loads.

Just change the Registry entry :

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
    “TaskbarSizeMove”=dword:00000001
