Well, its really annoying when there are lots of items in the right click menu. There must be some entries which comes with any application you installed in your system. when you uninstall a software the corresponding entries may not be removed sometimes. But we can remove the unwanted entries from the registry easily. Heres how:-
- Go to Start > Run > type regedit and press Enter.
- Now locate to the following folder:-
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers- Here are all the program that are attached to the Context menu. simply delete keys you do not want.
- Close the registry and reboot the machine. Thats it..
There is also an application made for removing the unwanted items from the context menu, Context Menu Editor. It can view and delete links to programs in the context menus of files, folders and Internet Explorer. The interface itself has been streamlined for ease of use. Each of the three options can be configured in their own tabs by checking or unchecking checkboxes. You can quickly deactivate and reactivate commands from menus without uninstalling the application. Quickly activate commands when you need them and deactivate them when you are done.
Download Context Menu Editor
