Unable to find Start Menu

Hello Friends,

Recently i try to customize my Start Menu, but can only see Classic Start menu on the Task bar and Start Menu Properties. I don't know but it happen only after some few days after downloading some pictures from the internet. Can any one tell me that how do i get back my Start menu on the Task bar and Start Menu Properties? Does any one have any idea how can i do so? Any information on it would be appreciated.

This usually happens when you unhide the Extended ROM. That's what causes the storage card to be renamed. You should revert to the previous setting of ExtROM (hide it back), than do a soft reset.

This happens if the desktop.ini file in the Recent folder is deleted.

• Click Start, type "%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows" and press {ENTER}
• Right-click the folder named Recent, and choose Delete. Click Yes when prompted.
• Now, type the command "shell:recent" in Start - Search box, and press {ENTER}.

Then try to Logoff and then try to login back.

To solve it just do this steps

1) Copy explorer.exe from other clean computer (from C:\WINDOWS)

2) In your computer go to C:\WINDOWS

3) Show hidden files from (Tools - Folder Options - View - Show hidden files and folders)

4) Delete explorer.exe and any other files start with explorer.

5) Put the new file (explorer.exe)

6) Log off or restart

7) Log on
