cannot remove .exe file

how to remove a file exe which is on my desk I have the following message:
impossible to remove this file yousendit this resource is used by another person or another program.
Please help me. Thank you

Cant you just uninstall it by going into Control Panel >> Add or Remove Program and just remove the file that you want to.

that file is not listed in Add or Remove Programs, so is there any alternative method. Thank you

Download Killbox and terminate the file that cant be deleted

You shouldn't really just delete .exe files, normally want to use add/remove or uninstall option to remove a program.

But if you must, then going into safe mode would work. And if all your exe files are like that might be a ownership thing.

Take ownership of the file then try and remove.
